The artist, Jaime Manrique Palacín was born in the province of Burgos, Spain, surrounded by nature which is evident in much of his paintings. Moving to Madrid for four years, he was influenced by the works of the Prado Museum as well as many others in different countries; amongst them is England where he takes up residence in London until the present time, which he sharers with Marbella while traveling around the world.
At age 20, Jaime Manrique moved to London where his artistic career was consolidated in London’s Byam Shaw Art School. What had been a hobby for Jaime Manrique Palacín became an inexorable duty, with which Jaime feels completely identified. Jaime Manrique Palacín works are in collections all over the world.
His realistic and meticulous work, to which he dedicated countless hours, has only allowed him to exhibit 12 solo exhibitions and 16 collective. In 1995, he had the honor of being invited to represent Spain with his paintings at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, during the Spanish week.
The artist passion for creating does not stop at painting, but extends to the literary field, since during his painting career, he has also writing his novels that he kept as a hobby that has now become a passion. Always fascinated with human relationships, he was able to build situations and interesting characters from an early age. HORIZONS OF LIGHT is his first romantic novel that has already been published in Spanish, and now in English, while making the last corrections to other five novels already written, which soon will see the light.
HORIZONS OF LIGHT is a novel where random, eroticism and exoticism are combined in this sensual novel to flesh out a passionate love affair in which there is no room for prejudices.
